Completely feeling like this today.  I just don't like Mondays, especially today. Tell me why I don't like Monday today. I can tell you:   I gotta pay the rent, pay the cable and internet bills And it is raining and cloudy out.  I am tired, I miss the kids (we had a wonderful lazy holiday weekend). I gotta bathe the dog, do laundry, then figure out what to cook for dinner.  And somehow I gotta find the motivation to package up some things and get them off in the mail.  Then I gotta go to the Post Office. I gotta get upstairs to tackle those new coffee bags. Oh and then I gotta finish those mug cozies, meaning I gotta re-do them so they don't slide off. I hate re-doing things. I hate chores. I don't feel like going out in the rain.   I just don't like Monday today. But don't worry, no shooting spree will come out of this. I am just letting my grumpy side show for a change. Opportunities arise when you least expect them. And sometimes they involve things you never thought you would  try. The key is to let go of your limits, to step outside the box. Sometimes it is finding your way through a coffee bag. An opportunity presented itself at the beginning of this month that Raige never thought of. A coffee grinder had some coffee bags they wanted to see turned in to other things. They didn't want to just sell the bags, they wanted to give them to someone to inspire them to create, and then they wanted to showcase those creations in their coffee shop.  Coffee bags. Burlap. It hadn't occurred to me that people have already started travelling home for Thanksgiving until someone mentioned it to me.  But then again, I am not one of those that is travelling. Since our move, our holidays have been small affairs, just me and hubby and the kids. We haven't had to travel to celebrate and we haven't had to entertain. I had told myself that holidays are much less stressful that way. That is true, but this year suddenly, I find I am missing those holidays. The bustle of packing the car with the dish to pass, making sure the kids have things to do to keep them busy during the 'boring adult time', the good food and drink with the extended family, the abundant leftovers. This Thanksgiving will be another holiday that I only have to entertain hubby and the kids. Didn't get my walk in today, it rained nearly all day.  But I did get some good laughs over some of these. These are real signs. No matter how ridiculous they may seem, remember that at some point in time, someone did something to make each of these signs necessary. All are from The Happy Place . I'd like to try that....walk without walking...hmmmm  duh  gotta print these instructions out, hubby wants a hat for Christmas....  ?????  every store should have that one.  BEST doorbell ever!  apparently lots of toilet troubles have happened in the past.....  I wish I knew where this was...never knew this was a problem. I have been hearing this song on the radio lately, and it calms me every time I hear it.   And I was just thinking, as we get closer to the holidays, maybe we should all have this song handy, so we don't give in to the stress of the holiday season.
